What you’d do

Build fiber amplifiers, run laser experiments and measure output power, spectra, polarization extinction ratios and stimulated Brillouin scattering. Oversee several laser labs, set priorities with senior management, and report project status weekly and monthly to government customers and vendors. You’ll need

• BS in optical engineering, electrical engineering, physics or related
• 8+ years relevant experience (or MS with 6+)
• 5+ years fiber laser amplifier experience
• Fiber termination, polishing and splicing
• Full-time on-site in Albuquerque, NM
