Inpatient Coder

What you’d do

Assigns diagnostic and procedure codes to inpatient encounters based on electronic medical record documentation, following coding rules and regulatory guidelines. You’ll need

• Associate's degree or higher in a CAHIIM accredited program, or 2 extra years of experience
• One of the required coding credentials
• 1 year of relevant inpatient coding experience or completion of HM Coding Apprentice or Outpatient t
• Accurate diagnostic and procedure coding from EMR documentation
• Knowledge of coding compliance and regulatory guidelines
