What you’d do

Develop and validate eDNA assays to detect bat species from environmental samples using qPCR, digital PCR, and nanopore sequencing. You’ll need

• PhD in molecular biology, microbiology, wildlife ecology, or related field
• Experience with nucleic acid extraction from environmental samples
• Knowledge of PCR and primer or probe design
• Ability to travel to field sites in south Texas
