Railroad Signal Technician, Construction and Maintenance

What you’d do

Installs, programs, calibrates and inspects railroad grade crossing signal systems, including predictors, controllers, relays and gate mechanisms, and operates heavy equipment like mini excavators and skid steers. You’ll need

• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual signal inspections independently
• Operate heavy equipment (mini excavator, skid steer, telehandler)
• Install, program and calibrate grade crossing predictors and controllers
• Familiarity with AREMA grade crossing guidelines
• Basic railroad signal troubleshooting skills
