Reviews patient charts for documentation accuracy and coding compliance, validating DRG assignment and present-on-admission status before billing. • ICD coding expertise
• DRG assignment experience
• Chart review and audit experience
• Coding certification (e.g., CCS, RHIA, RHIT)
• Knowledge of payor coding denials
