Inpatient Coder

What you’d do

Assign diagnostic and procedure codes accurately to inpatient encounters based on electronic medical record documentation, following coding rules and regulatory guidelines. You’ll need

• Associate's degree or higher in a CAHIIM accredited program, or 2 additional years of experience in
• One of the required coding credentials (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS)
• 1 year of relevant inpatient coding experience, or completion of Houston Methodist Coding Apprentice
• Inpatient diagnostic and procedure coding accuracy
• Full time schedule
